Charme Look gives Faltejsek fourth win in famous chase

Jan Faltejsek, well known to race fans in Britain through his long-standing association with Knockara Beau, won the Velka Pardubicka for the fourth time on Sunday when he partnered Charme Look to an authoritative victory in the Czech Republic's most famous race.

Chaos often ensues in the Velka Pardubicka, which is run over 4m2½f and includes a variety of fearsome obstacles, but backers of favourite Charme Look had few worries as Faltejsek had Martina Ruzickova's Pardubice specialist prominently positioned in a race run at a moderate tempo.
