Apple's Jade was the star of the show at Leopardstown at the weekend. She is having an exceptional season and her 16-length win over Supasundae (159) in the Irish Champion Hurdle earned her a career-high RPR of 168.

Once you factor in her 7lb mares' allowance she would top the ratings for any hurdle race at the Cheltenham Festival and it's only right that connections are now leaning towards the Champion Hurdle for the in-form mare.

She has proved extremely versatile regarding ground and distance this year and, although she was beaten in the Mares' Hurdle at Cheltenham last year, she seems to be operating at a different level this time round.
