Jonjo O'Neill: sent out his 2,000th winner

Trainer Jonjo O'Neill reached the milestone of 2,000 jumps winners in Britain when Centuro won the juvenile hurdle at Uttoxeter in bizarre circumstances.

The son of Cape Blanco, who had raced in second most of the way, was presented with the race when the leader Red Hot Chilly, who was still a good length in front, unseated Robbie Dunne less than 50 yards from the winning line, despite a desperate attempt by the rider to hang on as the post approached.

The winner was ridden by Aidan Coleman, who said: "It's a great feat by Jonjo and it's nice to be part of it by riding a handful of those 2,000 winners. I wouldn't necessarily say I was lucky as I thought I was closing on the other horse and might have won anyway."
