Let's celebrate success – that's what Joe Keeling, chairman of Horse Racing Ireland, said we were here to do and, with Aidan O'Brien and Willie Mullins sitting within the width of a fence of each other, there is an unprecedented amount of Irish success in 2016 to be celebrated.

A record-breaking 15 winners at Cheltenham. A record-breaking ten winners at Royal Ascot. Eight of the ten Classics. Nine victories at Aintree. The Champion Hurdle, Gold Cup, Grand National, both Derbys, both Oaks and even the Arc were won by Irish-trained horses this year, so it is no wonder the Leopardstown Pavilion is in party mood.

RTE's Des Cahill wastes little time getting us giggling by suggesting organisers meant to contact course commentator Dessie Scahill but dialled the wrong number and got him instead.
