Paul Carberry, Adrian Maguire and Graham Bradley are among a group of big-name former jockeys who will be in action at Bellharbour point-to-point in County Clare on Sunday.

The riders will be taking part in a Flat race, the final event on the card, to raise funds for Pat Smullen's Cancer Trials.

Speaking on Sunday, Grand National winning rider and two-time Irish champion Carberry said: "I'm looking forward to Bellharbour. I've never been there and I've no idea yet who I'll be riding, but it's for a very good cause.

"I still ride out almost every day and I'm fit and in good shape."

The legends race has been inspired by Smullen, nine-time Irish champion jockey, who retired on medical grounds last year after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

All funds raised will be donated to Cancer Trials Ireland for their work into pancreatic cancer trials and research.

There will be free admission for children and admission for adults over 16 is €10. There will be many free attractions such as pony rides, face painting, bouncy castles, a dog show and football skills zone.

There will also be a variety of food stalls and an indoor seating pavilion, featuring live TV coverage of the Dublin Racing Festival from Leopardstown.

Donations can be made to support the cause through the Go Fund Me page.

Everyone who donates through the website will be entered in a draw to win either a set of signed Frankie Dettori racing boots or a signed framed photo of champions Ruby Walsh, AP McCoy, Charlie Swan, Joseph O'Brien and Carberry riding out at O'Brien's yard.
