Capri looks to extend impressive streak in Beresford Stakes
Capri, who after winning his last two starts is 16-1 second favourite for the Investec Derby, will head Aidan O'Brien's bid for a sixth consecutive win in the Group 2 Juddmonte Beresford Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.
O'Brien, who almost inevitably has the only horse above Capri in the Epsom market in Churchill, will also be represented in the Beresford by maiden winners Exemplar, Latin Beat and Yucatan. His son Joseph saddles Eagle Spirit, so the O’Briens have five of the seven runners between them.
Tomorrow's eight-race card also features the Group 3 C L and M F Weld Park Stakes and the Group 3 Renaissance Stakes, while Forgotten Rules, winner of the British Champions Long Distance Cup in 2014, makes his first appearance of the season.
