Capri leads strong O'Brien challenge for Doncaster glory

Aidan O'Brien's Racing Post Trophy challenge is headed by Capri, the current second favourite for next year's Investec Derby, as the master of Ballydoyle chases yet another Group 1 win in a stellar season.

“At the moment it's most likely that our three representatives will be Capri, Yucatan and Finn McCool,” O’Brien said on Monday.

Capri, a general 12-1 shot for Epsom, was last seen defeating Yucatan by under a length in the Group 2 Beresford Stakes at the Curragh last month and he has been installed as the 5-4 favourite for Saturday’s Doncaster feature.
