Gordon Lord Byron could make a quick reappearance at Leopardstown on Saturday after Tom Hogan suggested he will have his sights lowered in future.

The redoubtable eight-year-old, successful in Group 1s in three countries, misfired over six furlongs when attempting to repeat his 2013 Sprint Cup success at Haydock last Saturday.

Gordon Lord Byron's two triumphs this season, in Listed company at Tipperary and in a Curragh Group 2, have come over at least seven furlongs.
