'We can't wait for him to be back' - McGrath return welcome for Seven Barrows
Seven Barrows stalwart Jerry McGrath is nearing a return to full fitness following his horror spill on the all-weather at Lingfield in January, but he has proved an invaluable asset to Nicky Henderson during his spell on the sidelines.
The Cheltenham Festival-winning rider suffered fractures to his hip and shoulder and initially feared he might have been paralysed, but he has recently returned on the gallops and Henderson said: "It was an horrendous fall, but he's been riding out for the last few weeks. I don't know what his timetable is, but we all want to see him race-riding again.
"He's been a big part of the place for so long and is one of the loveliest, most loyal and genuine people you could come across. Lots of the owners love him so we can't wait for him to be back."
