'She's very good - he's frightening' - Epatante gives Constitution Hill another boost
Nicky Henderson needs little reminding about the red-hot Champion Hurdle favourite Constitution Hill's awesome talent but he says it was brought into sharp focus over the weekend when Epatante bolted up at Doncaster.
Successful in hurdling's greatest prize at Cheltenham in 2020, the JP McManus-owned Epatante had been well beaten behind her star stablemate in the Fighting Fifth and Christmas Hurdle this season, but dominated the Grade 2 mares' hurdle in impressive fashion.
Her price for the Unibet-sponsored Champion Hurdle ranges from 16-1 to 33-1, although she also has the Cheltenham Festival option of the Close Brothers Mares' Hurdle, for which she is around the 7-2 mark.
