Good news for Native River, but look West for value

After he got beaten on trials day last month, there was a definite sense that Thistlecrack was worth taking on in the Gold Cup.
However, I reckon Tom Scudamore would have taken the bull by the horns in the Gold Cup, as he did in the King George, and would have seriously compromised stablemate Native River, who clearly isn't as quick as his stablemate and would probably have been taken out of his rhythm.
