The fantastic news that Enable has been given the go-ahead to remain in training as a six-year-old matched the rumours circulating at the Tattersalls sales grounds this week as the days went by with no immediate decision.

As she has yet to even leave the confines of John Gosden's Clarehaven Stables since her honourable defeat in the Arc, it was looking increasingly unlikely the daughter of Nathaniel would be seen again in 2019 and so it has proved.

Given that she would likely have been retired in 2018 were she a colt, Enable has been a flagbearer for her sex over the past two seasons and now we can look forward to more of the same in 2020.
