If Tiger Roll is deprived of his chance to become the most famous racehorse of all time it would be one of the greatest sporting travesties of the modern era.
It would be like Virgil van Dijk being dropped for a Champions League final, or Jofra Archer not being allowed to bowl, or taking Amen Corner out of Augusta. Quite frankly, it would be bonkers. You know it, I know it and, deep down, the O’Leary brothers know it too.
We are just over nine minutes away from watching history happening live. Yes, Red Rum won three Grand Nationals, but he did not win three in a row. The pen is placed firmly between the fingers of Michael O’Leary and he has the power to write the most compelling chapter jump racing has ever witnessed.
