New number one Cobden making good progress in recovery from injury

Harry Cobden and Bryony Frost, who have been sidelined by injury for much of the summer jumping campaign, were welcome faces among the guests at Manor Farm stables on Sunday.

Cobden, who was appointed number one stable jockey to Paul Nicholls at the start of the season, was without the neck brace he wore for a couple of months after breaking his neck at Market Rasen on June 1.

Cobden said: "I’m due to have another scan tomorrow, and then see my consultant on Thursday. I’ll be in no rush to start riding out again, but I’ve set my sights on returning to race-riding at the first Chepstow meeting next month."
