Recent events have left the Houses of Parliament in disarray, but there were no calamities with Aidan O'Brien's stayer of the same name as he collected a first Pattern victory in the Group 3 Bahrain Trophy.

The colt had built a strong profile this season with third in the Dee Stakes before fourth-placed finishes in the Gallinule Stakes and most recently the King Edward VII Stakes.

A step beyond 1m4f proved to his liking, as did the quicker ground, and he saw off Platitude by a length and a half under Ryan Moore.
