Grand National 2019: Mark Walsh picks up Anibale Fly ride after Geraghty injury
Mark Walsh will ride leading Grand National fancy Anibale Fly at Aintree on Saturday after the horse's intended rider, Barry Geraghty, suffered a broken leg in a fall in the Topham Chase on Friday. Walsh switches from Regal Encore, who will now be ridden by Jonathan Burke.
The 40 runners were declared for the £1 million Aintree marathon on Thursday, but Mall Dini was ruled out after final declarations with a leg injury. He was replaced by first reserve Just A Par, with Aidan Coleman picking up the ride.
Second reserve The Young Master will not get a run and neither will third and fourth choice reserves Isleofhopendreams and Exitas.
Two contenders, Outlander and Don Poli, have since changed ownership after being sold by previous owners Gigginstown at the Goffs UK Aintree Sale on Thursday evening.
Both will represent new trainers. Don Poli, bought by Darren Yates for £170,000, will run for trainer Phil Kirby, while Outlander, bought for Rebel Racing for £165,000, will run for Richard Spencer.
Since the sale, James Bowen has replaced Keith Donoghue for the ride on Outlander, but Patrick Mullins has kept the ride on Don Poli.
