French Champion Hurdle winner Ptit Zig will head back across the channel in November for a tilt at the country’s other championship Grade 1, the Grand Prix d’Automne.

Although the seven-year-old boasts high-class form over fences, Paul Nicholls said: “It’s clear he’s better over hurdles, so we’ll stick to them now. After Auteuil he’ll be aimed at the Long Walk.”
