A decade has past since the Andre Fabre-trained Hurricane Run struck a blow for France in this midsummer feature but Erupt has a real chance of ending that drought.

The four-year-old, who carries the colours of the Niarcos family and is trained by Francis-Henri Graffard, warmed up for this assignment with a second-placed finish in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud this month, a length and a quarter adrift of Silverware.
