All you need to know for All-weather Championships Finals day
Where once there was no racing, Good Friday plays host to a feast of racing to open the Easter weekend as the winter Flat schedule climaxes in All-Weather Championships Finals day at Lingfield.
Arena Racing Company tracks stage all three of the day's meetings with the Lingfield card the showpiece on a day when prize-money tops a whopping £1.4 million.
The seven-race card, featuring six finals, will climax with the Betway Easter Classic, in which the Winter Derby principals Master The World and Mr Owen, who lost the race to his rival in the stewards' room, meet again.
There are significant outcomes to be determined at Newcastle too where a first-four placing for Captain Lars in the opening sprint handicap could earn him the title of winning-most horse of the all-weather season over Spare Parts, who faces a seemingly impossible task at Lingfield after missing out on his preferred target.
A place in the Kentucky Derby is at stake for Gronkowski for whom a first-four finish in the Listed Burradon Stakes would secure enough points to earn a start at Churchill Downs.
Bath provides the turf action after surviving an inspection earlier in the morning.

What to back
Good Friday is extensively covered in this week's edition of the Postcast where Pricewise Tom Segal joins the regulars to pick out the best of the runners and look back on last weekend's Lincoln.
Adam Maidment has another recommendation from the Lingfield card in the Ten Second Tip.
What to read
It is set to be a very busy Easter weekend of racing in Britain and Ireland with the best racing since the Cheltenham Festival.
Keith Melrose whets the appetite ahead of the first day of the four-day Easter eggstravaganza.
The Dubai World Cup meeting is Saturday's feature event from Meydan from where Jack Haynes has been providing daily bulletins, his latest a piece on the aura of William Buick.
What to watch
Two years ago Hugo Palmer launched the 2016 campaign by winning the Qipco 2,000 Guineas. Now he is hoping to leave his mark on the All-Weather Finals Day and talks through his four runners.
The best of Racing Post Sport
Thanks to the international break it seems an age since there was last any Premier League football action. Well it's back this weekend so the Football Postcast is must watch ahead of the weekend schedule.
There is action from the football league too and Dan Childs casts his eye over the pick of the clashes including Norwich v Fulham.
Final thought
It is to Arc's credit that the not always universally popular racecourse operator has developed such a successful raceday very much against significant early opposition to racing on Good Friday. Racing and the much cherished racing centre open days at Lambourn and Middleham now coexist peacefully.
