All Flat tracks in Britain to be remeasured

Punters can celebrate another victory in the battle for more accurate information as it can be revealed all Britain's Flat courses are to be remeasured in a project that mirrors a similar review of jump tracks last year.

The review comes in the wake of inaccurate race distances discovered when Newcastle opened its all-weather course earlier this year.

Suspiciously quick times on the first day raised concerns over the exact trip of races being run on the new Tapeta track and the track was forced to have them re-calibrated.
