'Absolutely dreadful' that top jockeys did not help to end bullying - Neil King
Trainer Neil King has slammed senior riders saying they are "as much to blame as anyone" for allowing Robbie Dunne's behaviour to reach the level that resulted in an independent disciplinary panel finding the rider guilty of bullying and harassing Bryony Frost.
King, one of the few trainers to continue to support Frost throughout a season in which the rider has spoken of being ostracised for breaking the sport's code of silence, stated Britain's most successful female jump jockey had been badly let down by her peers.
"It’s a tremendous shame some of the senior jockeys in the weighing room, who were very much aware of what was going on, didn’t nip it in the bud as it should have been," he said. "I think it’s absolutely dreadful they’ve not only not done that, but come out in defence of it.
