2022 Grand National: the full list of entries and weights for the Aintree epic

The weights are out for the world's greatest jumps race, with 40 horses set to line up at Aintree on April 9 to tackle the Randox Grand National.

Minella Times won the 2021 edition and should he be back to defend his crown in 2022, he will do so with his rating having risen to 161 – up 15lb from his mark of 146 last year.

Tiger Roll, like Minella Times, is this time rated 161 and is set to carry 11st 4lb in his bid for a third success in the race and join Red Rum as only the second horse to achieve that Aintree feat.

Gordon Elliott leads the way with 19 entries, followed by Willie Mullins with eight and Henry de Bromhead with five rounding out the most represented trainers. Of the British contingent, Venetia Williams holds four entries, while Philip Hobbs, David Pipe and Colin Tizzard all have three.

Some 104 horses remain in the hunt for the Grand National, which will be whittled down in the coming weeks.
