Can Badger Beers winner Give Me A Copper develop into a Grand National contender?

Kane Calvin, Redzone He’s certainly not an ante-post proposition given how fragile he is, but if he was to get there fit you could see him running well. I don’t think stamina will be a problem and when he’s in form he jumps really well.

Sean Flanagan, jockey Absolutely. I was actually chatting with Puppy [Robbie Power] and he said it was quite testing at Wincanton so Give Me A Copper is obviously going to get further. He won very well and I don’t see why he couldn’t develop into a National horse.

Brian Hughes, jockey It looks like that’s his target for the season so he could do. It was a competitive race and he jumped and stayed well. I know he was fancied for Cheltenham last season and he’s had only six runs over fences, so you could argue he’ll still progress and improve. He’s going to need to but he’s with the right trainer.
