Bookies point finger at Worldpay as winnings stay out of reach

Some customers of bookmakers Stan James and Sportingbet are among those who were yesterday still unable to access funds in their accounts as a result of difficulties being experienced by payment-processing service Worldpay.

The National Lottery has also been fielding complaints from winners who have been left as frustrated as Worldpay's direct business clients.

In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Stan James stated: "We sincerely apologise for recent withdrawal delays and understand your frustration.
