The BHA is modernising the racehorse ownership process with a long overdue shake-up designed to reduce some of the burdens that turn owners off the sport.

A new online hub will be launched next spring through which owners will be able to digitally conduct all administration, including registrations, sponsorships and payments - and cut out most of the paper form-filling currently required.

The number of types of ownership will also be streamlined, with partnerships limited to small groups of registered owners and syndicates for larger groups.
