Betway boosts sponsorship portfolio with Market Rasen and Sandown ITV meetings

Betway has signed new deals with Market Rasen and Sandown to sponsor races at two ITV-broadcasted meetings next summer.

The Summer Hurdle and Summer Plate at Market Rasen will be backed by the online bookmaker, as will the Solario and Atalanta Stakes at Sandown.

Betway has also agreed three sponsorship extensions with Wincanton (Kingwell Hurdle), Newmarket (King Charles II and Sprint Trophy Stakes) and Haydock (Achilles, John Of Gaunt and Pinnacle Stakes).

No RTE awards success for Russell and Elliott

Davy Russell and Gordon Elliott were unable to add an RTE award to their honours on Saturday night as rugby union star Johnny Sexton and hockey coach Graham Shaw were named Sportsperson of the Year and Manager of the Year.
