Leopardstown tips to spend your free £40 Paddy Power bets on
On Saturday, the opening contest of the Dublin Racing Festival features a plethora of exciting novice hurdlers, including the Paul Nolan-trained Sandor Clegane (1.20), who created a strong impression with a devastating 12-length success in a Punchestown maiden hurdle. He displayed a willing attitude that day, stretching right away from his rivals, indicating a touch of class in the process.
The staying handicap hurdle at 3.40 is a fiendishly difficult affair. One who may outrun his odds is the Gordon Elliott-trained Au Fleuron. The six-year-old is unexposed over hurdles and ran a creditable fourth on reappearance in first-time cheekpieces, keeping on strongly over an inadequate trip. He could fare better with that effort under his belt. Paddy Power are generously offering five places on this race, which could prove decisive for each-way players.
Despite a rise in the weights, Final Orders (4.10) could prove a tough horse to pass for Gavin Cromwell and Keith Donoghue. The Camelot gelding has been a revelation over fences this season, producing a consummate display of front-running over course and distance in December, which extended his winning sequence to four races. He is worth a shot at repelling all rivals.
On Sunday, Rioga Choice (1.10) could reward each-way punters in the first race for Henry de Bromhead. She ran an encouraging fourth in Listed company when last seen and appears on a favourable mark for her handicap hurdling debut.
Mighty Potter could be the one to prevent Willie Mullins from dominating the Graded races this weekend. The six-year-old Martaline gelding is a perfect two from two over fences and lines up in the Grade 1 novice chase at 1.40. He could hardly have been any more impressive when winning in this class at Fairyhouse last time, slamming a subsequent Grade 1 winner by four-and-a-half lengths.
Whoever you choose to support at the Dublin Racing Festival this weekend, wager with Paddy Power. The top bookmaker has stepped up to the mark by offering £40 in free bet tokens for your pleasure. Click here to join now.
