Bet365 to sponsor first card at reopening

Bet365 will sponsor the first meeting at Hereford, where work has begun on installing the fences at the track which will reopen next month.

The online bookmakers, who have authorised betting partner status and have also agreed to back Hereford's November 23 fixture, will support all seven races on the October 6 raceday.

To mark the return of jumps racing to the track, which was closed in December 2012, the course has named the main restaurant the Rusty Bridge Restaurant after the horse on which champion jockey Richard Johnson rode his first winner at Hereford in 1994.
