Thikriyaat will undergo more tests after his disappointing run when finishing last of five as the 7-4 favourite in the Celebration Mile at Goodwood on Saturday.

The duty vet at Goodwood reported Thikriyaat was suffering from a fibrillating heart after Paul Hanagan told the stewards the Azamour gelding had never been travelling through the Group 2 mile contest.

Angus Gold, Sheikh Hamdan's racing manager, said on Sunday: "He never looked happy after he stumbled out of the gate.
