Battle of the sexes: ace filly Laurens set to take on colts in QEII Stakes
Five-time Group 1 winner and fan favourite Laurens is likely to be supplemented for the QEII Stakes on Saturday week according to her trainer Karl Burke.
The filly, who could be reunited with PJ McDonald, has won Group 1 prizes under Danny Tudhope on her last two starts, beating Alpha Centauri in Leopardstown's Matron Stakes before denying Happily in the Sun Chariot at Newmarket last weekend.
"After much discussion, the plan is to supplement Laurens for the QEII at Ascot where she will be taking on the colts for the first time," said Burke.

"She's only lost 4kg since winning at Newmarket whereas she lost more after Leopardstown, so Ascot seems a good fit."
Paddy Power introduced Laurens to the market at 9-2, with Prix du Moulin winner Recoletos favourite at 3-1.
