Unbeaten juvenile South Seas will put the finishing touches to his preparations for the Dubai Dewhurst Stakes this morning, with trainer Andrew Balding hoping he can cement his Classic credentials in Saturday's Group 1 at Newmarket.

A perfect three from three, South Seas is second only to ante-post Qipco 2,000 Guineas and Investec Derby favourite Churchill in the betting for the Dewhurst, with bet365 a standout 5-1 about Qatar Racing's exciting two-year-old, with Churchill their 4-7 favourite.

"It's the number one two-year-old race of the year but we're going there with an unbeaten horse who has done everything we've asked him to do," said Balding. "We'll find out a lot on Saturday I'm sure but he did a really nice piece of work on Thursday and I couldn't be happier with him."
