Monday

William Haggas sends just his third runner to Musselburgh this year as Queenlet bids to land a valuable fillies' handicap (4.10) under Danny Tudhope.

Success would bring Tudhope level with last season's total wins of 96. The 36-year-old jockey has rides in five of the card's eight races.

There is Listed action at Yarmouth with the British Stallion Studs EBF Beckford Stakes (4.00), where the King could have his first Pattern success with March Stakes runner-up Perfect Alibi.

Windsor, Killarney and evening racing at Wolverhampton round off a full day of Flat racing.

Tuesday

After five Flat meetings on Monday, jumping returns to Britain with racing at Huntingdon and Hereford.

Donald McCain, who is in flying form with a strike-rate of 26 per cent, sends three to Hereford and one to Huntingdon, which hosts a six-race card.

Grade 1 winner Quilixios made a successful Irish debut two years ago in a competitive three-year-old hurdle at Punchestown (1.45) and Gordon Elliott could attempt to repeat the feat with first-time runner Bestaline.

War Correspondent, a half-brother to Grade 1 scorer Tower Bridge, is another notable debutant under Rachael Blackmore in the contest.

Flat racing comes from Leicester, which stages a £20,000 handicap (4.50), while evening racing at Newcastle on the all-weather completes the day's fixtures.

Wednesday

Punchestown provides Grade 3 action on Wednesday, opening with the Buck House Novice Chase (3.55), where Joseph O'Brien bids for back-to-back successes with Midnight Run.

The race is followed by the Irish Daily Star – Best For Racing Coverage Chase (4.30) which could see a host of big names make their first starts of the season. Galvin, Run Wild Fred, Lifetime Ambition and French Dynamite all feature among the entries for the 3m contest.

Popular veteran hurdler Kansas City Chief could make his first start this season at Wetherby (3.40) in the sole other jumps meeting of the day.

Flat racing comes from Nottingham, Kempton and Wolverhampton, where the Kevin Frost-trained Infiniti seeks to claim his sixth win in seven starts in the 2m½f handicap (5.00).

Thursday

Jump racing at Carlisle features the return of Grade 2 winner Tommy's Oscar. A flagship runner last season for Ann Hamilton, the seven-year-old makes his chase debut over two miles (1.35) after failing to shine in the Champion Hurdle.

Fellow Grade 2 winner Nells Son and progressive novice chaser Geromino could add plenty of depth to this fascinating test.

More jump racing comes from Tramore, while there are Flat fixtures at the Curragh, Brighton and Chelmsford.

Friday

At Uttoxeter, the Rebecca Curtis-trained Georgie Des Champs takes on seasonal debutants in a competitive handicap hurdle (2.24) which could include the return of Grade 3 winner Complete Unknown.

The six-year-old is one of six potential runners on Friday for Paul Nicholls.

The highlight of Fakenham's six-race card could come with the concluding 3m handicap chase (4.25). A total of £30,000 is on offer and Grand Sefton runner-up Senior Citizen could be a leading player under Adrian Heskin.

Three Flat meetings wrap up Friday's racing at Haydock, Redcar and an evening fixture at Newcastle.

Saturday

The British Flat racing season draws to a grand finale on Saturday with Qipco British Champions Day at Ascot.

Four Group 1 contests are on offer and the prize-money available will decide the Flat trainers' title fight between Charlie Appleby and William Haggas.

Their rivalry could be settled in the Qipco Champion Stakes (4.00), in which Baaeed will bid to end his stellar career on a high in Britain's richest Flat race.

Appleby will not go down without a fight, however, and aims to send last year's Derby and King George hero Adayar out for his first top-level start since finishing fifth in the race last year.

Inspiral, Emily Upjohn, Trueshan and Creative Force are just some of the star names likely to make an appearance on Saturday at the unmissable six-race meeting.

Flat racing at Catterick and Wolverhampton also takes place and there is more classy racing at Leopardstown, with the Group 3 Killavullan Stakes (3.45) and the Listed Trigo Stakes (4.20).

There is jump racing at Stratford and Newton Abbot, which includes a notable intermediate chase (4.05) which saw the chasing debut of Grade 1 winner Bravemansgame last year.

A £50,000 purse is available at Market Rasen for its feature contest (3.37) in which Alan King bids for a third consecutive success in the handicap chase.

Sunday

Kempton opens for the jump season with a seven-race card that includes a Listed 2m hurdle (4.00) worth £50,000.

There is also jump racing at Sedgefield and Cork on Sunday, while the sole Flat meeting of the day comes from Naas.

The eight-race card features two Listed contests, with the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Garnet Stakes (2.55) and Irish Stallion Farms EBF Bluebell Stakes (5.15) both open to fillies aged three and up.
