Dettori Delta, Moore Land and The O'Sullevan Sea all feature on a new interpretation of the globe that is set to tour London over coming weeks in the build-up to an all-new "funky" Royal Ascot.

Two of the racecourse's famous Greencoats on Wednesday handed over the globe, titled A World Like Nowhere Else, to a pair of footmen from The Goring Hotel, where the handsome piece of art will begin its journey.

Also revealed at The Goring were more details of The Village, the new infield home to racegoers that will become the royal meeting's first new enclosure for more than 100 years when it opens for the fixture's final three days.

"I would say it's Ascot's take on a festival," said commercial director Juliet Slot.

"I think it will have a slightly younger vibe. A lot of the London audience that attends festivals want an elegant experience but also a lively atmosphere. There will be jazz in the afternoon and then a different DJ each evening, including someone called DJ Goldierocks, which is a bit funky, but funky in a Royal Ascot way."
