Alpinista gets serious for Arc bid plus the Gosdens warm up smart Frankel colt

Baaeed may not be on the road to Paris but there are others around town who are, including Alpinista, who commenced her serious preparation for the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe with a workout on the Al Bahathri Polytrack under her groom Annabel Willis.
Led by her long-absent stablemate Longsider, the daughter of Frankel breezed seven furlongs and will probably step up another gear next week as the countdown begins to Longchamp on October 2.
Bridge building
From being an arid no-go zone for more than two months the grass gallops are now flourishing, which enabled some of the town's big guns such as Bay Bridge to strut their stuff on the Limekilns.
