'Am I mad to think he has a massive chance?' - Hewick has Shark dreaming
Shark Hanlon has never had a runner in the Cheltenham Gold Cup before but in Hewick he thinks he has found one good enough to win the race, and the trainer wasn't scared by anything he saw from potential rivals over Christmas.
Hewick was among the 27 horses entered for jump racing's most prestigious prize on Tuesday and he is a 25-1 shot to add another chapter to a fairytale that already includes victories in the bet365 Gold Cup, the Galway Plate and the American Grand National at Far Hills.
Hewick has not been seen since his victory in the States back in mid-October, but his trainer says he has never looked better and the plan is to go straight to Cheltenham on St Patrick's Day for the big one without a run beforehand.
