There is a plethora of two-year-old racing today when Newmarket stages an eight-race card, seven of which are restricted to juveniles.

As a guide to the future the races have not proved too informative, although Desert Skyline, winner of the Doncaster Cup last month, won the closing nursery 12 months ago.

Newmarket stages one of five meetings in Britain and Ireland. Navan and the Kempton evening card complete the Flat offering, while there is jumping at at Sedgefield and Worcester, where there are some interesting runners in the Fixed Brush Hurdle Final.
