There is a plethora of two-year-old racing today when Newmarket stages an eight-race card, seven of which are restricted to juveniles.

As a guide to the future the races have not proved too informative, although Desert Skyline, winner of the Doncaster Cup last month, won the closing nursery 12 months ago.
