Aidan O'Brien set to unleash star juveniles Meditate and Blackbeard at Newmarket
This coming weekend is all about the future and Aidan O'Brien is planning to unleash some of his most potent juvenile talent at Newmarket on Saturday, when the exciting Meditate and Blackbeard are set to lead the Ballydoyle team into battle in the Group 1s.
Meditate may have surrendered her unbeaten record this month when defeated by the much-touted Tahiyra in the Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh, but the Albany Stakes winner remains a leading fancy for next year's 1,000 Guineas and O'Brien is willing to let her take on Trillium in what promises to be a cracking Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes.
O'Brien has won the prestigious contest four times since 2016, including last year with Tenebrism, and he reports Meditate to be none the worse for her recent Curragh run, her fifth of the campaign.
