Top-class chasers Ahoy Senor and Bravemansgame are set for a pulsating early season clash in Saturday’s bet365 Charlie Hall Chase (3.35) at Wetherby, with their respective trainers eager to run if conditions are right.

The Grade 1-winning novice chasers from last season will take their chance in the weekend’s feature if the ground is safe, and Wetherby said on Monday they were confident they could deliver the right surface for a hotly anticipated duel.

William Hill could not separate the 161-rated chasers, making them joint 7-4 favourites as ten runners were entered on Monday.
