The stewards at Navan didn’t feel compelled to hold an inquiry into the manner in which the Ten Up Novice Chase unfolded, which will have undoubtedly added to some punters' rage.

First impressions weren't great. To these eyes, though, the jockeys on the six beaten finishers were culpable of little more than giving Acapella Bourgeois a soft lead. However, he was racing with the clutch out on bottomless ground at one of the stiffest tracks in the country.
