A red-hot apprentice and a prolific partnership - key stats for Thursday's cards

There are two meetings on Thursday at Wolverhampton and Kempton. Here are statistics from each track which could help your punting . . .

Wolverhampton

Red-hot apprentice Billy Loughnane has ridden six winners from his last ten rides at the all-weather track and has a strong book of rides.

He looks tremendous value for his 7lb claim and will be hoping he can put it to good use aboard his five mounts, all of which have solid credentials.

The hat-trick-seeking Algheed (1.20) and cosy Chelmsford winner Moveonup (3.40) are shortest in the betting and make most appeal, while he will also be aboard Pysanka (2.30), Arcadian Nights (3.05) and Apache Star (4.15).

Kempton

Jamie Spencer has a fantastic record for trainer Jane Chapple-Hyam, which is worth noting under the floodlights.

He has ridden 18 winners from 74 rides for the Newmarket handler for a 24 per cent strike-rate and a £12.85 profit to a £1 stake, as well as earning more than £158,000 in prize-money.

The pair combine just once on the card with the Merry Fox Stud-owned Ready Reckoner (6.00). The three-year-old is related to a Group 1 winner in Sajjhaa and has only had three starts in handicaps, so could improve.
