A Plus Tard 'improving every day' and could run before the Gold Cup
A Plus Tard is making steady progress from the injury which forced him to miss the Savills Chase at the 11th hour and Henry de Bromhead is not ruling out having a crack at the Irish Gold Cup before the Cheltenham Festival.
Following a lethargic effort in the Betfair Chase on his reappearance, the first time he had finished out of the first three in his entire career, A Plus Tard was a hot favourite to get his season back on track at Leopardstown on Wednesday only for a bang to a joint to rule him out on the morning of the race.
De Bromhead said at the time that he was moving perfectly and hoped he would be fine in a few days' time, and it looks as though that will prove to be the case after the trainer issued a positive update on his wellbeing on Saturday.
