33-1 Bunbury Cup hope impresses in work on the Polytrack
Enable and Coronet - John Gosden
Most trainers chose to swerve the Limekilns on Wednesday after 18mm of overnight rain, instead sticking to all-weather surfaces such as the Al Bahathri where Investec Oaks winner Enable followed the tractor at second lot. Frankie Dettori was back in the plate on the daughter of Nathaniel for the first time since Epsom for a five-and-a-half furlong breeze ahead of the Irish Oaks. Next up was Ribblesdale winner Coronet who enjoyed a similar exercise under Danny Harrop and is to be reunited with Olivier Peslier at the Curragh.
Zainhom - Sir Michael Stoute
Kevin Bradshaw did a lot behind the scenes to get Ulysses on track for his first Group 1 win in the Coral-Eclipse and was seen to similar effect on this one-time Classic hope. Having supplied Jim Crowley with one big winner last weekend, Stoute could provide another as Hamdan Al Maktoum's colt swept up the Al Bahathri.
Encrypted-Hugo Palmer
Built on his debut effort at Newmarket when running out an impressive winner at Kempton last time and looked in similar order on the watered gallop on Tuesday under James Doyle. The son of Showcasing will take the beating at York on Saturday.
Happy Like A Fool - Wesley Ward
Ward has left three fillies at the National Stud to be campaigned in Europe in the coming weeks, including the Queen Mary Stakes runner-up who breezed four furlongs on the Cambridge Road Polytrack. The chestnut, who is being aimed at the Group 2 Molecomb Stakes at Goodwood, certainly gets plenty of pampering as she enjoys a swim and spa every day over at David Lanigan's yard.
Great Work!!!
Sir Dancealot - David Elsworth
Elsworth made the short trip from Egerton to the Cambridge Road Polytrack where he breezed his decent three-year-old. Not disgraced in the Jersey Stakes last time, the three-year-old may switch to handicap company in the bet365 Bunbury Cup at Newmarket on Saturday.
