2022 York Ebor tips: Thursday's best bets from our Racing Post experts

Day two of the York Ebor festival is here - but who do our top tipsters fancy most?

Lady Hollywood

By Kevin Morley

Race: 1.50 York (Sky Bet Lowther Stakes)

Odds: 12-1

As a filly who has improved with every race, Lady Hollywood appeals most. This will be her first run over 6f, but winning form over the distance isn't a must. Her profile is remarkably similar to 2020 winner Miss Amulet who landed the same Naas Listed contest prior to victory here. More experience would be preferable for Dramatised, but the Queen Mary winner is the form horse and feared most ahead of Mawj.

Shouldvebeenaring

By Paul Kealy

Race:2.25 York (Goffs UK Harry Beeby Premier Yearling Stakes)

Odds: 3-1

Not seen since May but is the sole contender for a yard that has won four of the last six runnings and may simply have been given time to mature with this as a target.

He was green on both his starts in the spring, and also looked all at sea on Ripon's undulations despite winning easily on the second of them (four dual winners have emerged from race).

That form is right up there with the best on offer in what looks a weak running and he looks open to more improvement than most.

Queen Aminatu

By Richard O'Brien

Race:5.20 York (British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies' Handicap)

Odds: 7-4

Three-year-olds have won eight of the last 11 runnings of this race and Queen Aminatu looks very much the one to beat this time. She was unlucky not to bag a Sunday Series race at Haydock 11 days ago and can gain ample compensation off the same mark.

Thursday's previews:

1.50 York: The Lowther poser: is Queen Mary winner Dramatised a certainty or opposable?

3.00 York: 'He's due a big one' - trainers on their runners in this £125,000 handicap

3.35 York: Yorkshire Oaks: 'It's all systems go' - Alpinista chases first domestic Group 1

4.10 York: Can Golden Lyra continue recent sea of yellow success in the Galtres?
