2022 Glorious Goodwood tips: Wednesday's best bets from our Racing Post experts
Day two of Glorious Goodwood is here - but who do our top tipsters fancy most?
Mugader
By Robbie Wilders
Race: 1.50 Goodwood (Coral Beaten-By-A-Length Free Bet Handicap)
Odds: 12-1
This Richard Hannon-trained three-year-old runs off 86 in the opening 1m4f handicap on the second day of Glorious Goodwood, but retains an entry in the St Leger later in the season.
He looked a big improver when pulling clear of a next-time-out winner last time at Doncaster and can continue to progress. A 7lb rise might not be enough to stop him.
Rocket Rodney
By Kevin Morley
Race: 3.00 Goodwood (Markel Molecomb Stakes)
Odds: 10-11
This looks like it's between Walbank and Rocket Rodney and the vote goes to the latter, who has the advantage of course form. Eddie's Boy is the pick of the remainder, but he's already finished behind the selection twice this year.
The Platinum Queen
By Paul Kealy
Race: 4.45 Goodwood (Fillies' Conditions Stakes)
Odds: 5-4
Probably found the Queen Mary too tough on only her second start, but looked a very speedy filly when toying with a 93-rated odds-on shot at York earlier this month.
That form is easily the best on offer here and should be good enough to win this unless one of her lightly raced rivals takes an enormous leap forward.
Wednesday previews:
1.50 Goodwood: Is anyone capable of stopping Secret State's bid for a four-timer?
2.25 Goodwood: 'This is a good opening to win her first Group race' - who is feeling confident?
3.00 Goodwood: Who has the right pedigree to excel in a Molecomb test of raw speed?
3.35 Goodwood: World at his feet: Baaeed bidding to cement his number-one spot on global stage
6.10 Galway: Kennedy opts for Return To Base as emphatic Punchestown winner goes handicapping
6.40 Galway: 'He's still unexposed' - who fancies their chances of winning the Galway Plate?
