The first weekend in October traditionally brings together the best of the best in Europe and beyond at Longchamp, with the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe the big-race highlight on Sunday.

Several iconic performers have triumphed over the 1m4f test and this year's race, due off at 3.05pm and broadcast live on ITV, promises to deliver another fascinating clash.

3.05 Longchamp: Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe racecard and betting

1 Torquator Tasso

Close second in 2020 German Derby to subsequent Arc runner-up; not totally forlorn at a price

Odds: 33-1

3 Broome

1m4f in July saw first Group 1 win; could not peg back Deep Bond here; makes little appeal

Trainer: Aidan O'Brien

4 Tarnawa

Carried all before her at 1m4f/1m2f in 2020; top 1m2f form latest; biggest test to date

Odds: 28-1

7 Chrono Genesis

Top-class form at 1m4f in Japan and Meydan; conditions are softer than she's used to

Odds: 8-1

8 Mojo Star

Divided Adayar and Hurricane Lane in the Derby; outgunned by latter since; asked a lot now

Trainer: Richard Hannon

9 Baby Rider

Early runs against the top three-year-olds show that he is in too deep in this company

Trainer: Pascal Bary
Jockey: Iortiz Mendizabal
Odds: 150-1

10 Adayar

Scintillating wins in the Derby and King George; outstanding three-year-old who is the one to beat

Jockey: William Buick
Odds: 10-3

11 Hurricane Lane

Has had tough campaign; third to Adayar in the Derby; three Group 1 wins at 1m4f/1m6f since

Trainer: Charlie Appleby
Jockey: James Doyle
Odds: 5-2

12 Sealiway

Suited by testing ground; off since June; pedigree doesn't lend itself to step up to 1m4f

Odds: 40-1

13 Alenquer

Stayed on well when winning at Royal Ascot (1m4f, heavy); excuses since; has potential

Star three-year-old filly at 1m4f; query against her after latest start but has been supplemented

Odds: 5-1
