Paul Kealy pinpoints the mudlovers for his Sandown Placepot

Credit: Edward Whitaker

We should have a couple of bankers in the opening two legs of the Sandown Placepot to help us get through the later races without a massive layout.

It's hard to be to sure about the form of French import Hystery Bere in the opener (12.05), but he's probably the only danger to , who has much the best form of the rest.

He also gets 6lb off Hystery Bere, so it makes sense to stick with him.

(12.40) has not reached top form this season in three starts for Paul Nicholls, but even her ninth of ten in the International at Cheltenham is better form than most of her rivals in the mares' hurdle which is next up.

It becomes more difficult after that, but I can see (1.15) going well back over fences for the first time in a year off a mark 19lb lower than when he last raced over them.

He goes in with the lightly raced , who hacked up when last seen for Venetia Williams ten months ago.

is hard to leave out in the next (1.50). He may have been toyed with by Sky Pirate last time, but was still ten lengths clear of the rest. , in career-best form the last time he was seen, is respected too.

The Tolworth (2.25) doesn't look the most competitive Grade 1 ever run and obvious liking for heavy ground should be enough for her to make the frame at least.

I'd be highly tempted to go with four in the last as it's really competitive. Main selections Valtorand are joined by and .
