Sea The Moon fee raised to £25,000 as Lanwades Stud unveils 2022 roster
He is joined by Bobby's Kitten, Sir Percy and Study Of Man
Lanwades Stud has unveiled its fees for the 2022 breeding season, with top-level winning sire Sea The Moon receiving an increase to £25,000 from £22,500.
The son of Sea The Stars is responsible for last year's Coronation Stakes heroine Alpine Star and is the sire of 33 stars performers overall, including nine individual Group winners and eight Listed scorers.
The ten-year-old, who has sired 13 winning two-year-olds this year, has had yearlings sell at Book 2 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for up to 300,000gns and 280,000gns respectively.
On Tuesday, his full-sister Sea The Sky made an impressive winning debut at Chantilly.
Prix du Jockey Club winner Study Of Man will remain at £12,500. The sole son of the great Deep Impact to stand in Britain, the six-year-old hails from the outstanding Niarchos family of Kingmambo, East Of The Moon and Miesque.
Bobby's Kitten enjoyed a breakthrough year when the high-class Sandrine provided him with a first Group winner with victory in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot.
The Andrew Balding-trained filly went on to win the Duchess of Cambridge Stakes and was also third in the Cheveley Park Stakes and second in the Lowther Stakes.
Her second-season sire, who is also responsible for Beresford Stakes runner-up Monaasib among 23 individual winners from his first crop, will remain at a fee of £7,000.
The roster is completed by the evergreen Sir Percy, who was very recently represented by Lanwades homebred Kawida, who landed her first stakes success in the Montrose Fillies' Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.
Sir Percy, the sire of 50 black-type horses including two Group 1 winners in Sir John Hawkwood and Wake Forest, will also remain at £7,000. His yearlings at Book 2 made up to 120,000gns.
