The Group 2 Tattersalls July Stakes winner Royal Lytham is one of four wildcards added to the forthcoming Tattersalls December Mares Sale, it was revealed on Thursday.

The three-year-old son of Gleneagles capped an impressive juvenile season for Aidan O’Brien with a third in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes behind subsequent Irish 2,000 Guineas winner Siskin.

Royal Lytham is out of the Listed winner Gotlandia from the family of Group 1 Fillies’ Mile winner Glorosia and will be offered out of training by the Castlebridge Consignment as lot 1508A.

The Castlebridge Consignment will also offer the well-bred Kendargent filly Ela Katrina in training as lot 1752A. She is the winner of three of her four starts this year for Ger Lyons.

A daughter of the Group 3 Lancashire Oaks winner and multiple Group and Grade 1 runner up Ela Athena, she is a half-sister to the popular Group 2 Doncaster Cup winner Pallasator.

Another wildcard set to attract plenty of attention is the winning Bated Breath mare Facilitate, who will be consigned by Jamie Railton and offered in foal to Exceed And Excel.

Catalogued as lot 1613A, Facilitate hails from an excellent Juddmonte family as a daughter of the Listed Prix Amandine winner Emergency, a half-sister to the Group 1 King’s Stand Stakes victor Prohibit.

The quartet of wildcards is completed by the three-year-old Littledidyouknow, a three-time winner who received a significant update to her pedigree this summer when her half-sister Bodhicitta ran out an impressive winner of the Grade 2 Yellow Ribbon Handicap at Del Mar and placed second in the Grade 1 Gamely Stakes at Santa Anita.

The daughter of Due Diligence is from the extended family of dual Group 1 winner La Collina and the Group 2-winning sire Fracas, and will be consigned by Jamie Railton as lot 1858A.

The Tattersalls December Mares Sale will take place from Monday, November 30 to Thursday, December 3.

Catalogues are online now at www.tattersalls.com and available from Tattersalls and Tattersalls representatives.
