Reduced fee for stalwart Sixties Icon due to economic uncertainty

Norman Court Stud's stalwart Sixties Icon will stand at a reduced fee in light of the ongoing economic uncertainty as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

Sixties Icon, the St Leger-winning son of Galileo and Oaks winner Love Divine has been represented by Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud runner-up Nagano Gold and Rockingham Stakes scorer Nastase this season, and his fee has been set at £1,000 + VAT payable on or before covering of the mare.

Stud manager Keith Evans said: "We realise the coming season is going to be tough for breeders but Sixties Icon continues to belt out winners, with a winner-to-runner ratio of over 55 per cent. They win on any ground and over any trip, he really is an extraordinary stallion."

He added: "If anyone is in doubt about covering their mare but would like to take a chance for £1,000, then they won’t find better value anywhere."

Molecomb Stakes scorer Rumble Inthejungle will stand for £3,500 in his first season at the Wiltshire stud.

The precocious son of Bungle Inthejungle, a half-brother to Superlative Stakes third Great Prospector, was a winner on debut and followed that up with a two-and-a-half length win in the Molecomb Stakes, with subsequent Flying Childers winner Soldier's Call behind in third.

Rumble Inthejungle finished his juvenile campaign with a respectable third behind Ten Sovereigns in the Middle Park Stakes, while his best effort at three came when fourth behind Battaash in the King George Stakes at Goodwood.

A select number of breeding rights are available for Rumble Inthejungle at £5,000.

Haras de Montaigu fees released

Haras de Montaigu fees for its four-strong roster which include No Risk At All, the sire of last season's Champion Hurdle winner Epatante, have been released.

No Risk At All, a five-time stakes-winning son of My Risk, will stand for a fee of €10,000 - from €7,000 this year - while Beaumec De Houelle, a Grade 1-winning hurdler, has been raised to €6,000.

The roster is completed by Jimmy Two Times, a Prix du Muguet winner who will stand for €4,000, and Night Wish, who will command a fee of €3,000.
