Sea The Stars remains a Curragh favourite after Irish Oaks success
Star Catcher's sire also responsible for Sea Of Class last year
One of the few accomplishments missing from Sea The Stars’ racing record was a domestic Classic but he is making adequate compensation at the racecourse upon which he was trained.
The front-running Star Catcher ensured that the Kerrygold Irish Oaks remains in his possession for the second year in a row as she followed in the hoofprints of Sea Of Class, who was only recently diagnosed with potentially life-threatening colic.
Sea The Stars, who is completing a decade of service and is now standing at a fee of €135,000, has passed a century of worldwide stakes winners, including 12 Group 1s, and has already sired an English and Irish Derby hero in his fellow Gilltown Stud resident Harzand.

Another Epsom Classic winner in Taghrooda has already given him a King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes and he ought to have another strong chance next weekend through his flag-bearing Crystal Ocean, while Stradivarius continues to carry all before him in the staying division.
Star Catcher was supplemented for €40,000 after forming what was a terrific Royal Ascot for Sea The Stars in the Ribblesdale Stakes. Her sternest challenge came from the re-opposing Zoffany filly Fleeting, who finished a length and a half adrift last month but closed to just half a length on this occasion.
Anthony Oppenheimer’s home-bred is one of the final foals of Lynnwood Chase, who has already delivered two other Royal Ascot winners in Cannock Chase and Pisco Sour. The owner has retained her Kingman two-year-old filly, named Maurimo, who is in training with Roger Charlton.
